A popular attraction
The Glasgow Science Centre stands on the south side of the River Clyde. It is a science center composed of three main buildings, which are the Science Mall, an IMAX cinema and the Glasgow Tower. The Scottish tourist board, VisitScotland, has awarded it a five-star rating in the category of visitor attraction. Opened in June 2001, the Glasgow Science Centre is part of the ongoing redevelopment of Pacific Quay, an area that was once a loading dock but ceased to be used after the decline of the port of Glasgow, and now holds various museums.
