The people are very humble
Gewane Ethiopia is a region marked by poverty, as is most of the country. It is in Afar territory and has a diverse landscape, on the one hand near Gewane is one of the most important mountains of Ethiopia, Mount Ayelu, and a major national park, but on the other, also begins Ethiopia's most arid desert of volcanic earth where the heat is unbearable (40-50 degrees). In Gewane there are numerous villages that are usually along the only road that crosses this region. The people are very humble and the houses are made with all kinds of materials, many of tin and are a variety of colors. In this area people can not engage in agriculture because the ground is too dry, so they have to find other ways to make a living, so, many of the inhabitants of Gewane work with cotton.
