Garry Lake
Loch Garry or Garry Lake is located about 26 km north of Fort William. It is connected to another nearby lake, Loch Quoich. It is one of the multiple lakes adorning the A87 road and is one of the most important visual elements of the Glengarry views. With a maximum depth of 52 meters and more than 11 km in length, it is now one of the largest hydropower resources in the area. Historically the shores of this lake were the original settlement of the Clan MacDonnell of Glengarry, one of the most powerful clans in the area, with Donan Island as one of its bases, where today you can find the famous Elian Donan Castle Castle.
