Gargunnock Village

1 review of Gargunnock Village

Away, calm and with charm: Gargnnock

Excellent

Gargunnock is a tiny town in the province of Stirling with a population of 1,000. It is in the countryside between hills and mountains. Possibly one of the most lovely villages of the Stirling area, quiet and charming. It is Famous for its historic inn, a great place to have a drink. It was one of the walkways between the old road between Stirling and Glasgow, among other people, Sir William Wallace ("Braveheart") who moved his troops by Gargunnock to face the English at Stirling. His church is medieval with little personality, marking what was the heart of the village. Now it is part of the route by the natural park Trossarchs between Stirling and Loch Lomond, which gives it enough visitors year-round.

It has a store, typical of this kind of village where you can find everything.
