Gardens of the Imperial War Museum

2 reviews of Gardens of the Imperial War Museum

Gardens

A part of these gardens is dedicated to peace and another to war. It is not promoting war obviously, but when you get to the Imperial War Museum, behind Waterloo station, the first thing you see are the two huge canons. Next you have a peaceful public park and gardens. These are a tribute to peace. The Tibetan gardens were opened in 1999 by the Dalai Lama. Worthwhile, but most visitors only go to the museum, ignoring the gardens, because from the museum's entrance do not see much and many people ignore them. The garden is named Samten Kyil Nepali, is a very quiet, which has eight places for meditation in the park.
