Gardens of Aranjuez

Los jardines de Aranjuez son una serie de bosques y parques ajardinados y ornamentados con numerosas fuentes y estatuas de la ciudad española de Aranjuez, situados junto al río Tajo y el Palacio Real, en la Comunidad de Madrid. Los Jardines han servido de inspiración a artistas como el compositor Joaquín Rodrigo o el pintor Santiago Rusiñol. Son varios los jardines históricos que rodean al Palacio Real de Aranjuez, cada uno representativo de un tipo de un estilo según la época y el gusto del monarca que ordenó su creación. Están abiertos al público durante todo el año, desde la 10:00 hasta el atardecer. Los jardines se componen en diferentes partes: Jardín del Príncipe Es una pieza única entre los jardines españoles. Capricho de Carlos IV cuando aún era Príncipe de Asturias, fue creado siguiendo el modelo paisajista que dominaba en el resto de Europa, y se caracteriza por su variedad vegetal. Es el más grande de Aranjuez y alberga el Museo de Falúas y la Real Casa del Labrador. Jardín de la Isla Toma su nombre de su ubicación, pues se encuentra en una isla que forma el río Tajo. Es una muestra única de jardín renacentista español y fue ordenado por Felipe II. La isla es una amplia zona verde que alberga cantidad de árboles, anchas avenidas y varias fuentes de piedra y mármol representando figuras y escenas mitológicas. Destaca por las fuentes decorativas que se encuentran en sus paseos: la Boticaria, Hércules, Apolo, la del Reloj, la del Niño de la Espina, Venus, Diana y Baco. También sobresale la Cascada de las Castañuelas, así denominada por el ruido que produce el agua al pasar por huecos y protuberancias . Jardín del Parterre Situado en la fachada este del Palacio Real, es obra de Esteban Boutelou quien fuera jardinero mayor de Aranjuez desde 1716. Su diseño responde al tipo de jardín inglesado bajo y el emplazamiento de sus fuentes data de la época de Fernando VII. La entrada principal está flaqueada por dos garitas de piedra de estilo Luis XIV. En el interior del jardín destacan tres fuentes: La primera dedicada a Hércules, detrás de ella la de Ceres y al final la de las Nereidas. A su izquierda está el pequeño Jardín de las Estatuas, llamado así por estar rodeado de catorce bustos de emperadores romanos y personajes de la época clásica. Jardín del Rey Aunque no es visitable debido al estado de su suelo, se puede ver por completo desde el Jardín del Parterre. Originalmente fue ideado con la idea de un jardín cerrado que únicamente fuera visible desde las habitaciones del palacio. Jardín de Isabel II Conocido también como Jardín de la Princesita, fue ideado para rellenar un pequeño terreno sin utilizar de tal forma que fuera visible desde el palacio. Años después, se colocó una estatua de bronce para conmemorar el ascenso al trono de Isabel II. Considerados los más bellos de su época y magníficos en cualquier estación, hoy siguen cautivando a los visitantes.

Siempre es una delicia pasear por estos jardines. Los lagos, las estatuas y el colorido de las flores le dan un toque muy especial.

Merece la pena un paseo por los Jardines del [poi=15870]Palacio Real de Aranjuez[/poi], una maravilla para los sentidos. Amplios, cuidados y repletos de estatuas, fuentes y una agradable vegetación.

Worth a stroll through the gardens of the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, a marvel for the senses. Spacious, full of care and statues, fountains and lush vegetation.

Los jardines nos gustaron mucho, la pena es que las fuentes sólo están en funcionamiento algunas horas de los fines de semana, y era entre semana cuando fuimos. Y pierden mucho las fuentes sin agua, pero a pesar de ello, es un lugar para pasear super recomendable.

Los Jardines Reales de Aranjuez son un lugar ideal para pasear y desconectar, en otoño lucen especialmente bonitos, pero sus fuentes se encienden todos los días del año.
