Worth a visit
Most shops and some bars and restaurants in the Bay of Coimbra are around the axis between the Largo da Portagem and the May 8 square. Near the beautiful church of Santa Cruz you'll find this lovely garden surrounded by beautiful buildings including the pink Bank of Portugal, the landmark Astoria Hotel, with terraces filled mainly with Spanish tourists. Don't miss the beautiful gardens in the area.
