Galeria Municipal de Arte Gerd Bornheim

A cidade de Caxias do Sul guarda uma rica história que ao longo dos seus 141 anos foi sendo talhada pelos imigrantes italianos que aqui desenvolveram essa terra e hoje é a segunda maior cidade do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Sua cultura e sua história é retratada em vários cantos da cidade e por diversas formas. Uma dela recebe sempre inúmeras amostragens e fica na Galeria Municipal de Arte Gerd Bornheim em pleno centro histórico da cidade ao lado da praça central Dante Alighieri. Nela são feitos alguns eventos e mostras de todos os tipos como por exemplo obras de arte, lançamentos de livros e exposições de quadros. Tive a oportunidade de acompanhar dois eventos sendo um de lançamento de um livro sobre os parreirais da serra gaúcha e suas belezas naturais e em outra oportunidade de um lançamento de vestuário. Nessa última vez acompanhei uma exposição de quadros com pinturas abstratas e outras que exigem interpretação mais apurada ou mesmo a sua contemplação. A galeria é uma enorme sala bem clara e com ótima iluminação, totalmente propícia para a sua função. Ela fica no mesmo prédio do teatro municipal e da biblioteca pública. Pode ser visitada todos os dias e sua entrada é franca.

In this last one accompanied exhibition of paintings with abstract paintings and others that require more accurate interpretation or even contemplation. The gallery is a huge clear room and great lighting, fully conducive to their function. It is in the same building as the municipal theater and the public library. It can be visited every day and entry is free.
