Galdana Cove

Located on the island of Menorca, this is an urban beach that you can easily reach by car. It’s the quintessential Menorcan cove.

The large beach forms a perfect semicircle of white sand and clear water that’s protected from the wind by the large cliffs covered in pine trees. Despite the Hotel Sol Gavilanes (right on the beach, a perfect place to stay) the atmosphere is peaceful and the nearby housing development really respects the environment. When you come out of the pines and stumble upon this wonder of nature, your jaw will drop!

You can also go up to the two viewpoints.

This beach is incredible. The water is crystal-clear and the sand is white and clean. There are also some incredible views. It’s highly recommended to go with children since it’s quite ample and doesn't get too crowded.

You can also go to Macarella cove on foot, a trip which takes around a half hour. You need to wear shoes on the trail, though, as there are lots of rocks. Finally, you head down 216 steps and arrive at this clean little beach.

This gorgeous and large cove of crystal-clear water is, for me at least, the best place to stay on the entire island. From there, you can go by foot on various routes to other pretty coves. It’s perfect if you want peace and quiet and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s also widely considered to be one of the island’s most beautiful coves.

This is an ideal place to find a hotel or apartment since you can access 4 different coves without having to take a car.

We came here with our 2 year-old daughter and she loved it!

The water was clear and cool and the sand was white and didn't burn our feet. There were lots of other people but it wasn't overly crowded. The views were spectacular.

If you come to Menorca, I’d definitely recommend it.
