Musée Gadagne

The museum is located in the heart of old Lyon, in the district of Saint jean. Includes Lyon History Museum, and International Museum of puppets. The puppets, including the famous Guignol, have an important role in Lyon, since they were invented here and for years have been the companions of all French boys, when you went to the park you were always taken to see the puppets. The museum is housed in a beautiful building, the hotel Gadagne. Two mansions built in the sixteenth century were bought by wealthy merchants Florentines, brothers Gadagne. In the twentieth century the buildings centred on a large courtyard and became museums.
