Beautiful baroque facade
This church belonged to the Convent of the Trinity Friars and since 1999 has housed the Municipal Library of Miranda. It's adjacent to gardens, which were also part of the convent that was founded in the eighteenth century by the barefoot friars of the Order of the Holy Trinity (with approval from the Portuguese king João IV). The church was built in 1728, extended 30 years later, has a Latin cross and a beautiful baroque facade emblazoned with the order's symbol. It was abandoned in 1834 and was in ruins until it was acquired by the City for the library.
