Magnificent views
This castle is at about 70 m above sea level and is part of the medieval defense system of Sibenik. Its current appearance from the XV century and was constructed by the Venetians. This is where you see that the climb up the streets is worth it because it rewards you magnificent views of the entire city, the cathedral and the port. All of the city stairs descend from the fortress to the sea, so that the occupants could flee quickly when the Turks arrived. The excavations in the castle tell us that this place was already inhabited long before the arrival of the Dalmatinos.
