Fortín El Salto

Después de haber disfrutado de "La Venta" y de la "Hacienda Guayabal" en nuestro trayecto Caracas-La Guaira por el Camino de los españoles, encontrarás El Fortín El Salto, cuya historia o importancia hace honor a su nombre: Parada obligatoria, permitía la defensa del camino y de la ciudad de Caracas de ataques piratas. El Fortín El Salto, poseía un puente levadizo, allí donde están paradas la chica y el caballero de nuestras primeras tres fotos, a una altura de 20 metros del terreno y 915 mts aproximadamente del nivel del mar. Cualquier amenaza, el puente era retirado, y los asaltantes se exponían a las armas y la caída sobre los pozos y falsos pasos que se observan en las últimas dos fotos de nuestra reseña.
