Forno da Serra

O Forno da Serra is a modern pastry shop and café where we stopped off with friends when we visited the village. It has good views of the valley, located in the heart of the Portuguese village of Castro Daire, midway between Viseu and Lamego. The building has an excellent viewpoint and is on 2 floors. On the bottom is what was the bakery, and above, the cafeteria which can be reached by stairs. the cafe is decorated with nice murals and has a small pond with turtles which delight the children.
