Foot-washing Ceremony

El Jueves Santo, las comunidades católicas y cristinas del mundo, conmemoramos con la celebración de la Misa de la Cena del Señor y participamos en la Ceremonia del lavado de los pies, para luego a la hora 0 recibir a los peregrinos que llegan al templo en procesión para la adoración eucarística. Esta Ceremonia fue presidida por el Sr. Arzobispo en la [poi=68945] Basílica Catedral Nuestra Señora del Rosario [/poi], acompañado por una muy numerosa cantidad de fieles, los auxiliares habían logrado despejar el camino de la nave hacia el altar, en tanto que la gente se arremolinaba en los altares laterales y los espacios libres entre las filas de bancos; los costados de la nave, en los mismos bancos, en el ingreso lateral del patio, las escalinatas de acceso y hasta en la [poi=72245] Plaza 25 de Mayo [/poi]. La puerta estaba completamente abierta y se podía seguir desde la plaza la ceremonia y la Iglesia se mantuvo a oscuras hasta el inicio de la misma. Sólo subiré un par de vídeos, y algunas fotos, ya que me cuesta bastante grabar las ceremonias religiosas por una cuestión personal de pudoroso respeto. Como llegué muy temprano, pude acomodarme entre los primeros bancos y sacar un par de fotos sin personas delante, algo que después fue prácticamente imposible. En el camino central de la nave desde los primeros bancos hasta el final, se colocaron de manera alternada seis sillas de un lado y seis sillas del otro en las que se ubicaron los doce a quienes el Arzobispo lavaría los pies en una muestra de humildad y servicio y se hizo de este modo para que todos los presentes pudiesen ver lo que se hacía.
