Orchha Market

This market is right in the center of Orchha, and is extremely colorful, and a place where you walk among tame cows and bulls. You may even see a dog lying in the middle of the bike pack, and you will get to appreciate the tuc-tuc, concrete jungle. It is a relaxing town, and the day we were there we heard the singing Indians. Necklaces raririmos, there just was where I bought my precious teak elephant, half a meter tall, hand painted, a jewel that be in this town I could get cheaper prices, but as I worked was pretty costs . I couldn't find anywhere the picture that had the elephant I wanted. I was in the store they said that being the first customer but bought nothing for them that brought them bad luck for the day, which was the purchase by the first consumer and prosperous serious day.

I haggled and acknowledge that it is a valuable piece, I showed other nice though neither shadow rendered him to buy, I did the hard that I was what I wanted to remove the counter to sell me anything else of the many they had in the store. Up came the owner and finally I spotted the coguio elephant and the owner said that it was very good quality hand painted and carved until ..... Some zircons brings embedded rhinestones or not as they are called, gorgeous. The city of Orchha is still pretty unknown by tourists, and for that reason you can enjoy good prices.

Charm of Adventure

Orchha is almost an obligatory rest stop before going to Khajuraho, because it's very close and although it has little tourist infrastructure, there are a couple of acceptable Western style hotels. The city is very safe. Its market is very small, I would say it's more for the locals than for the tourists. It's just a street with several clothes shops, bars and several cafes (very cheap, but if you want send anything by mail, your parcel would probably arrive at it's destination by walking than by you waiting in line). We arrived late at night, and we ventured from the hotel to the centre of town walking along a road of cow dung by flashlight, which soon became a mass mosquito light.

The next day, and in the morning, we repeated the trip, but some of the charm of adventure was lost. There were a few stalls selling fruit and vegetables and colourful bindis dye was all the "merchandise".

Flowers, jewelry and dyes

The Orchha market is held on the main square, once the gate of the city crossed. Colorful place with pilgrims often attracted by neighboring temples. The ladies choose a copper ring or bracelet with sparkling colors. The flower sellers lose their smile As the day passes and the bouquets to grieve. Piles dyes are always photogenic, yet without being cared for tourists. A Orchha everything is authentically Indian, and so much the better.

The most lively street Orccha

Orccha is one of those small and full of charm that people love to anyone passing by all. Overall it's a pretty quiet street market being its most vibrant. All there are fruit stands, fabrics, trinkets, pequeos restaurants .... At dusk when there is too hot is nice to sit and watch all large and small while having a beer or decide which of those cupcakes colorful is one to eat.
