Fjords and Glaciers

From the pier Balestrand, you can get another ferry that takes you to the gates of Jostedal Glacier, to Boyum. I don´t advise going down the road, since it is a 30min ferry ride, and it can end up to be 4 hours by car. There you will find the Norsk Bremuseum dedicated to the glacier. We went up to the glacier tongue which is close. In the afternoon we went to the glacier tongue which can be reached through the city with the same name as the glacier Jostedal. To get inside the park, you have to stop right in front of a barrier , make a donation indicated there and continue our journey. Later, you will see that there is a lake right in front of the blue water of the glacier thaws, with a gentleman who helps cross in his little boat.
