Fishing Port of Laredo

Laredo es una villa marinera de la costa oriental de Cantabria, enclavada entre la ría de Treto y la Bahía de Santoña. Cuenta con una de las playas más extensas y hermosas de la región, la playa de la Salvé de 4 km de longitud. Declarada conjunto Histórico-Artístico en 1970, la villa de Laredo es hoy uno de los lugares con mayor concentración turística del Norte de España. El puerto pesquero-deportivo de Laredo se encuentra situado en el centro de la villa, entre la playa de la Salvé y el peñasco llamado El Canto de Laredo. Su actividad pesquera no supone la principal fuente económica del pueblo, pero los barcos siguen saliendo a faenar diariamente. Actualmente el puerto está sufriendo una ampliación. La ampliación del Puerto de Laredo tiene como objetivo crear un nuevo puerto destinado a satisfacer la demanda de las embarcaciones deportivas y las necesidades pesqueras, dotando a ambas actividades, de instalaciones acordes a la tecnología actual. La creación de un nuevo espacio náutico deportivo y de ocio, supone una fuerte apuesta por la revitalización del turismo, como principal fuente de ingresos de la zona.

Laredo is a fishing village on the east coast of Cantabria, located between the estuary and the Bay Treto Santoña. It has one of the longest beaches and beautiful in the region, the Salve beach 4 km long. Declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1970, the town of Laredo is now one of the places with the highest concentration of tourists in northern Spain. The marina and fishing port of Laredo is located in the center of the town, between the beach and the rock Salvé called The Song of Laredo. Their fishing is not the main source of income of the people, but the boats keep coming to fish daily. Currently the port is undergoing an expansion. The expansion of the Port of Laredo aims to create a new port designed to meet the demands of the sport boats and fishing needs, providing both activities, facilities commensurate with current technology. The creation of a new space nautical sports and entertainment, is a strong commitment to the revitalization of tourism as the main source of income in the area.

¡¡Pequeño, pero resultón!! Justo al final de la afamada playa de Salvé y al principio del Peñasco, que denominan comúnmento el Canto de Laredo, se encuentra el puerto pesquero de Laredo. Su ubicación es fantástica ya que se encuentra en pleno casco viejo o histórico de la ciudad. Algunos de los barquitos que se podían ver en el puerto aún continúan saliendo a fanear para la pesca, pero como no es la principal actividad económica del municipio, la mayoría de los barcos que estaban allí eran tipo yates, más de ocio que de trabajo jejeje... Desde la última vez que estuve aquí en el año 2006 había cambiado mucho ya que se notan las obras de reforma y mejora que se sucedieron en el año 2008, ya que estaba irreconocible.

Small but resultón! Just down the famous beach and early Salvé Peñasco, they call comúnmento the Song of Laredo, is the fishing port of Laredo. Its location is fantastic as it is located in the historic old town or city. Some of the boats that could be seen in the harbor are still going to fanear for fishing, but since it is the main economic activity of the municipality, most of the boats that were there were kind yachts, leisure over work lol ... Since the last time I was here in 2006 had changed a lot since they noticed the renovation and improvement that occurred in 2008 as it was unrecognizable.

Mis pasos no paraban hasta que me llevaron al puerto deportivo de Laredo allí entre sus grandes paseos se mezclaban dos tipos de vidas marineras.Por un lado era inevitable fijarse en esos yates,esos veleros..gente relajada sacando a pasear sus barcos a la bahía..ellos se disponían a pasar una jornada en alta mar.Por otro lado mas adelante en el puerto pesquero no dejaba de mirar incansablemente a esos grandes hombres que pasan casi toda la semana en alta mar trabajando y luchando por traer cuantos mas kilos de pesca a la villa. Dos tipos de vidas muy diferentes pero que les une algo grande,el mar.

Un bonito atardecer de agosto desde el puerto pesquero recién estrenado de Laredo (Cantabria), tras los radios de la bicicleta, y entre barcos, se aprecia la playa de Laredo. Muy buenas puestas de sol, siempre que esté despejado. Muy recomendable para ir con tiempo y ver cómo llegan los barcos pesqueros.
