Sunday morning gospel service
At number 1912 Adam Clayton Boulevard (the main artery of Harlem), the First Corinthian Baptist Church is one of many churches in the neighborhood that invites tourists to attend the Sunday morning gospel service. Mass is at 8am or 10:45 on Sunday, but it's possible to come for just a half hour to hear the gospel choir without sitting through the whole ceremony. The songs are just beautiful and the mass is a fascinating sociological experience not to be missed.
