Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport

11 reviews of Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport

Small but nice

Ferenc Liszt International Airport is small, but it has everything you need. It's located about 20 kilometers from the center of Budapest and is divided into three terminals: 1, 2A and 2B. Terminal 1 is the most recently-built and caters mainly to European low cost carriers. Terminal 2 is mainly for domestic flights, and Terminal 2B is for general international flights.

The best way to get to and from the airport is on bus lines 200 and 93, which drop you off at the metro station or the train station, respectively. The airport has all the usual services like ATM's, car rental offices, banks and currency exchange office.

Terrible serivce from Terminal 2B

Excellent

I want to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occured this night at the Ferenz Liszt Airport (Terminal 2B) while passing through the security check.

I encountered an issue with one of the security officers. During the check, a female security officer confiscated my LIMITED EDITION BODY CREAM (solid body cream NOT lotion - the cream was from The Body Shop and now is out of stock everywhere!!!) out of bad intentions. While I understand the importance of security measures, I strongly believe that the officer's actions were unjustified. She claimed that the item needed discarded, but I have a reason to believe that her decision was influenced by personal jelousy rather than adherence to security protocols. Her demeanor and comments suggested that she acted out of spite, which is completely unacceptavle and unprofessional.
