Some of Japan in Sao Paulo

In operation since the 70s, the Feirinha became one of the touristic points of the neighborhood and the city. Best of Liberty!

O melhor da Liberdade!

O melhor da Liberdade!
Feirinha of Liberty is one of the main attractions of the neighborhood, work on Saturdays and Sundays from 9h to 18h. The crafts fair was inaugurated in 1975, originally called the Fair East Liberty, with the aim of exposing the work and culture of Eastern immigrants. Today, there are dozens of stalls, selling everything but the highlights are still the Oriental items: paintings with oriental motifs, lucky charms and protection, paper lanterns with written Japanese, Eastern religious images, utensils made of bamboo (spoons, ladles, pots and even back scratcher), traditional Japanese dolls and origami (folding decorative). One of the stalls that stands out is the bonsai, mr. Nelson Hadano, cultivating small plants since childhood and sells in the neighborhood of Liberty 37 years ago. If you get hungry when you visit the crafts fair, do not worry, with R $ 3.00 now you can taste traditional snacks from Japan in the stalls. In the stalls of Liberty you'll find noodles with vegetables (yakisoba), pedainhos rice with meat and vegetables (yakimeshi), fried dough with shrimp, vegetables or vegetables (tempura), or shrimp dumpling with octopus (takoyaki), pastelzinho Pork and vegetables (Giza), sushi, sashimi and skewers of shrimp and squid. For dessert, dorayaki (sweet pastry with cream), mandyu (sweet bean dumpling) or motivated (sweet rice dumpling).
