Faro de Buchan Ness hotel

Sleeping in a lighthouse is something very special, and in Scotland there are various different options. I stayed at Buchan Ness lighthouse, near Peterhead, for just one night, but the experience was fantastic. The lighthouse is still in operation. Both houses have 2 bedrooms (one twin, one double), lounge, kitchen and bathroom. They are tastefully decorated and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, toaster, and all kitchen utensils and cleaning products. The living room, apart from being very spacious, has a real fireplace, TV, DVD, and a large library with books and movies (of course, in English).
