Here in Farafenni the transfer of Gambians and Senegalese traders is endless. Its proximity to the border makes it a strategic point between the 2 countries. Access is via the Trans-Gambia in the North Bank Division, to the city of only about 30,000 inhabitants it's also known as Chakubanta or Faracity. Its inhabitants mostly speak Wolof although the Mandingo and Fula are also spoken.
