Central location and comfortable for business trips but expensive
This is an excellent hotel located in a long avenue in downtown Brussels, a 10 minute walk of the historic building of the Exchange, and the corresponding Metro called 'Burse' (Bag), allowing very comfortable and easy access to go to the famous Grand Palace and the rest of the city's nerve center. It's a business hotel-modern and functional. The double rooms, or single use in my case, are quite spacious, with twin beds together, comfortable mattress, a well equipped bathroom, heating, quite spacious closet and a desk with chair, with space to work well with a laptop. Complimentary WIFI on the floor where I was the scope was good, and the password is on your card :).
On the negative side of the room, the TV was pretty old and the glass partition in the bathroom doesn't prevent floods when you shower. The ground floor of the hotel where the reception and the breakfast room is very nice with a relaxing space as a room right at the entrance, with comfortable leather sofas that invite conversation, which also must be a kind of bar, but we weren't there long enough to find out. The front desk people are super attentive and help you in everything you ask them, plus they ask you immediately where you're from and they spoke Spanish to us from the beginning. The breakfast is complete with sweet and savory options. The breakfast area is very bright and pleasant. Assuming that all hotels in Brussels are expensive, this is one more within that group, if I'm not mistaken, the night around 150 €, but the excellent location and the level of comfort it offers, compared with other pricing options. In short, a business-traveler hotel or for people of high purchasing power who can afford certain luxuries, comfortable and modern, equipped with Free WiFi, has a privileged location near the metro stop 'Burse' (Bag), but is expensive, very expensive in my opinion. Finally, a detail I did not like related to the price: even though we paid well in advance we had to pay 7 and change per night for tourist charges. Not sure if it's a Brussles thing or just from this hotel. Either way, it's robbery. If you travel business class and can afford to pay these prices, it is a very good option, even considering similar hotels in the area, but not a hotel for a traveler or normal tourist, which is what we usually are, and always try to look for cheaper options.
