Simplicity and Value in the Center
The Euro Youth Hostel is not one of those typical places that you can find in your guide or recommended on minube, but it is a very good option if you want to sleep in a cheap spot in Munich, a city in which you are going to leave € € in other tasks (for example, beer, transport or eating). It's located next to the train station, do not be fooled by the neighborhood in which there is everything, because Munich is one of the safest cities in Europe, and the neighborhood where the train station is always has some strange characters all over the world. As for the hostel, you have shared and private rooms.
I've stayed in a double room with private bathroom for about 70 € per night with breakfast for two included. The room is simple, with basic decor (a huge closet with safe), television, telephone, dining table, and it even had a sofa. The rooms were very clean and tended to every day. Breakfast is quite varied but also simple, but you have a bit of everything, sweet, salty, cereal, fruit ... The atmosphere of the hostel is very, very, very lively, so if you are not willing to live with touristy drunkards on the weekend grab yourself some earplugs. If you are unlucky (as I was) to have a room on the first floor, avoid it, if possible. There were some hotels in the area which looked pretty good and I'm sure they were also cheap.
