Situada bem no coração do distrito, a pequena estação ferroviária de Joaquim Egídio é uma reconstrução da antiga estação datada de 1889 e que foi destruída na década de 80.
A nova construção foi finalizada em 2000 e hoje abriga a Estação Ambiental, que é um centro de preservação da memória do distrito e um espaço para exposições, atividades culturais e artisticas.
Infelizmente os trilhos que faziam parte do Ramal Férreo Campineiro foram removidos, e no lugar existem apenas uma linha simbólica que representa o exato lugar onde estavam.
Tem uma arquitetura bem simples, mas é um ótimo lugar para se relaxar e e reviver um pouco os tempos aureos do distrito.
Para quem curte uma boa gastronomia, a região ao redor da estação é repleta de restaurantes, que estão entre os melhores da cidade.
Situated right in the heart of the district, the small train station of Joaquim Egdio reconstruction of an old station dating from 1889 and which was destroyed in the decade of 80. The new building was completed in 2000 and now houses the Environment are that a center for preservation the memory of the district and a space for exhibitions, cultural and artistic activities. Unfortunately the tracks that were part of Extension Frreo Campineiro were removed, and instead there are just a symbolic line that represents the exact place where they were. It has a very simple architecture but a great place to relax and and relive a little the golden days of the district. For those who enjoy a good gastronomy, the region around the station full of restaurants, which are among the best in town.
