It's the small details that make it worthwhile
It's a custom of the Umbria region that when someone dies in the city, their obituary is distributed and advertised through the streets of the town for the whole world to know and make condolences to the families. The house of the dead usually have some sort of standard bearer to indicate mourning (same curiously happens if someone is born). I thought that these customs were from the past, but I saw that they continue in Spoleto. A curious custom and maybe something morbid too. It's the small details that make it worthwhile.
