Eremo dei Toschi

Eremo dei Toschi is an agriturismo close to Passo del Muraglione on the Toscano/ Romagna border. The building is four years short of being 1000 years old and there is feeling that time has been suspended here so far from the modern world. Elisa and her husband welcomed us to dine on wholesome food at their kitchen table.

They are raising two rare breeds of cattle, goats and bees. Talk was of slow food and sustainable production. Close to the Eremo there is a lovely walk beside the river in the Acquacheta valley. The path ascends 200m past a series of waterfalls. The falls were so spectacular
