Legendary village
Enna is another Sicilian inland city that makes its visitors fall in love. The legendary village was originally a busy centre of devotion of Demeter. It's located on a high hill in the middle of Sicily. For ages, Enna has been a city dedicated to the trade of wheat and cotton that is grown on the island. It's divided into two areas; the modern part, which is charmless, and the old town, which is located on the top of the mountain. The mountain top is chaired by the Castello di Lombardia with its beautiful 'palazzi' and churches. It also holds remains of the Temple of Demeter and an interesting archaeological museum.
