On the Italian island of Sardinia t is very common to see campsites and caravans in places close to the beach areas. Being an island with a climate so Mediterranean, camping is easier than in other destinations. The network of campsites in Sardinia is quite extensive, and these facilities exist around the coast, by the way, free camping is prohibited and there is enough surveillance by the police to make sure people follow the rules. For example, near the northern city of Alghero is the most popular camping site called Butterfly, open from April to October and has about 250 places. In many of them you can book a place online.

If you go with a caravan you can pay about 35 Euros per night for two adults.
