Bien que n'étant pas un habitué de l'ambassade de France à Moscou, il m'est arrivé de passer devant et de constater ce que j'avais lu, à savoir qu'il s'agit d'une des plus belles représentations diplomatiques de Russie. En effet, une partie des locaux se situe dans la maison Igoumnov, une réalisation faite dans le style "néo-russe", inventé à la fin du 19ème siècle pour pallier au manque d'identité des russes dans le domaine de la construction. Ce style s'inspire de l'architecture médievale russe (on retrouve certains éléments dans la Cathédrale Basile le Bienheureux sur la place rouge), avec ajout de frises, colonnes et céramiques... Si vous vous rendez à la Nouvelle galerie Tretiakov depuis le metro Oktyabr'skaya, n'hésitez donc pas à faire ce petit détour pour admirer la façon dont sont lotis nos représentants à Moscou.
