Siete mil hectáreas inundadas sobre San Francisco de Cara
Este embalse se creó en 1964 con la idea de que fuera parte del abastecimiento de la ciudad de Caracas. Tiene unas siete mil hectáreas inundadas sobre el pueblo de San Francisco de Cara, del que se ve la cruz de la iglesia cuando hay sequía. Cuenta con unas veintiocho islas, algunas playas y es un lugar realmente bonito.
Durante un tiempo se utilizaba para la realización de válidas de pesca de pavón, pero eso ha descendido con el pasar de los años. Sin embargo, hay turistas que vienen solo por eso, para pescar. También es un buen sitio de observación de aves y dicen que en una época se veían tortugas, venados y babos por todo el lugar.
Los lugareños hacen traslados dentro del embalse para visitar las playas, ver las islas, y pasar por las compuertas del embalse.

This reservoir is cre in 1964 with the idea that was part of the supply of the city of Caracas. It has about seven thousand hectares flooded on the town of San Francisco de Cara, from which the cross of the church is when there is drought. It has about twenty islands, some beaches and is a really nice place. For a time it was used for carrying out of fishing vlidas PAVN, but that has come down with the passing of the years. However, there are tourists who come just for that, to fish. It is also a good place for bird watching and say a few turtles, deer and babos look all over the place.
