El Sotillo Bridge

En una de mis últimas excursiones con la bici por la ciudad de Palencia, me recorri el carril bici que une el Sotillo con Puentecillas, y para salir de el Parque del Sotillo de los Canónigos, tuve que utilizar el nuevo puente que se ha construido a la salida del parque. Este puente es denominado coloquialmente como el puente del Sotillo y une el Parque del Sotillo con el Barrio de Allende del Río, ya que según sales del puente ya te encuentras en ese barrio. Si os fijáis en las fotos, debajo de este moderno puente se conserva el anterior puente de piedra que databa de la época medieval, pero que debido al paso de los años y las necesidades más actuales se tuvo que construir el presente puente. Además si os daís cuenta el río viene totalmente embarrado debido a las recientes lluvías y con un caudal algo elevado que casi está tocando los ojos del antiguo puente de piedra.
