Flensburg is a city in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein. Flensburg is the center of the Südschleswig region. After Kiel and Lübeck, it is the third largest city in Schleswig-Holstein. Other big cities close to Flensburg are Kiel (69 km south) and Odense in Denmark (92 km northeast). Flensburg is 7 km from the Danish border and the Flensburg Baltic Sea is known for its fjords and its famous beer which, according to experts, is the best in Germany. I have visited several times and will continue to do so, it has a special charm.
