More than Just a Market
Frankly, it is one of the prettiest shopping malls of the islands, but don’t expect to find the traditional shopping place, you will find a town with a bell tower included. I know the mall since it opened, since I go many times to the island, and the change has been spectacular in every way. The most important one is the opening of new stores, despite de crisis, even though there are still some empty businesses.
I was in the April Fair organized by the mall; I recommend you go…it is a week with shows, dance, kiosks, and even a fair. In April they inaugurated a park for children, which seems to be the biggest in the island, it is huge, and there are karts, football field, etc.
The nice thing is that it is very calm, as well as the customer service and the structure, you forget you are in a shopping mall! Time flies when you browse the stores, drink a coffee, talk in a terrace. During the year they organize concerts, live music, workshops, dance classes, and of course you end up shopping in their stores.
In the Mercado Canario (market) they sell excellent arts and crafts as well as modern stuff, silverwork, crystal, leather. It is always full and the ambience is great. Go up to the tower bell, the views are great…really, I had some great moments in the new year’s party with the bells from El Campanario.
