El Balio Garden

The Balio Gardens are located at the top of Erice. They are near the castle and are seated at the site of the ancient acropolis. They are public gardens built in the nineteenth century, linking the Balio Tower with Venere Castle. It has a lush vegetation, composed mainly of pine and palm trees. A set of bronze busts placed on pedestals of white marble are seen dotting the trails. In these gardens you'll find paths for walking, benches to sit and relax with stunning views, a terrace café, and you will most likely see a peculiar cart pulled by a donkey where you can take a picture (for a fee, of
