Eiffel Bridge
This bridge is one of the most important and characteristic symbols around Saint Louis. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel, the man that designed the so-named tower in Paris. It connects the mainland to the small island in the middle of the city. It is a structure of seven arches with radii tens of iron and is defined by as many stone pillars as the Senegal River. It has a one-way lane back and sidewalks for pedestrians. Perhaps the highlight of this bridge is the interesting way it is shaped. It is a very modernized bridge in terms of its regard to its surroundings. However, although somewhat out of tune, it acts as a symbol and has been very well preserved and maintained.
