Eglise San Simon Piccolo

Voilà une élgise qui porte mal son nom car elle n’a rien d’une petite église. C’est le premier bâtiment que l’on voit en arrivant à Venise depuis la gare Santa Luccia et il en impose avec son immense dôme et son jeu de colonnes en marbres qui supporte un grand porche tout en marbre. Fermée à la visite, cette église est surtout le rendez-vous des jeunes qui attendent un train, les yeux sur le Grand Canal.

This is the first btiment as lon see coming from Venice Santa Luccia station and it imposes with its huge dome and play marbles columns supporting a large porch all marble.
