Eduardo Ocón Square

Although the composer D. Eduardo Ocon Rivas is one of the best known nineteenth-century Spanish composers, few know that he was born in Benamocarra, a small village in the Axarquia. In the middle of the village and surrounded by white houses, lies this small monolith which pays tribute to one of the town's favorite sons.
