Echterdingen
Echterdingen. Who would have thought that I would spend nearly two weeks in this town. It is full of traditional German houses with well-kept fronts, a real mix of historical, present and future-inspired buildings. All of the surrounding countryside is full of people, particularly on bikes. The town has a special pride for the people of the town who survived several attacks in ancient wars. The town is also proud to have the lowest unemployment rate in all Baden-Württemberg, only 2.3%! It is not a very populated place but it is very diverse and is full of friendly people. The Turkish barber, located at the end of Main Street, the pizzaria, the "bier-garten" in the town-hall square behind the church, to the bakers at the "Deutsche-bäckerie".
