The peninsula of Dunnet Head is located in the far north of Scotland and represents the most northerly point of the entire UK. The Lighthouse at Dunnet Head dates back to 1831 and was built by Robert Stevenson, the father of Robert Louis Stevenson...an amazing little story, isn't it? The lighthouse over 100 meters high and in the surrounding area there are still some fortifications that played defensive roles during the Second World War.
