One of Scotland's most important religious buildings
Very close to the River Tay, surrounded by huge, ancient trees, you'll find the remains of Dunkfeld Cathedral. Partly ruined and partly still operational as the religious center of the Church of Scotland, it's one of the most important religious buildings in Scottish history. Walking around the surrounding area, you'll be stunned by the beautiful views. From the entrance in Dunkfeld, on the bridge that crosses the river, the cathedral seems hidden in the undergrowth. Personally, I really enjoyed visiting Dunkfeld Cathedral, although I know a lot of people don't consider it to be one of the most important attractions in Scotland.
