Beautiful 18th-century building
The Hotel du Parc is a beautiful 18th-century building which belonged one of Avignon's noble families and was then converted to a printing press before finally being a hotel. It's run by the second generation of the same family that has run it since the 1960s. The 14 rooms are spread over two floors and are decorated in the simple, typical Provencal style. Nextdoor, there's a small public park and some rooms have views of the park while others look out on to a quiet street. The rooms have closets but no TVs. A single room is 35 euros, doubles are 45, and the prices rise in summer, particularly during the theater festival.
