Eye-catching building
Another eye-catching building on Avenida Dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra, just opposite the Courts, in the parish of St. Maria Maggiore. It's also known as "Avenida da Escola" and is one of the buildings dedicated to public schooling built in 1933 by Alfredo de Magalhães, Minister of Education in the first republic. It according to the project of Baltazar de Castro and architect Rogério de Azevedo, although renovated in 1997.
