Jano Montano
Accommodating
We chose this hotel for its location and obviously also for the price. It is located in a central area (ten minute walk to the Riverwalk, ten to the Harley-Davidson Museum), but only two blocks from the Interstate, so getting in and out of the city is a breeze. It is a bit above the three stars, but without reaching the semi-luxury four). The facilities are adequate and the price included breakfast (quite substantial) and valet parking. Parking in the Milwaukee area is not very complicated, and it's always better to leave your car in a guarded place ... The room was correct and clean and equipped in accordance with its category.
When choosing the combination of two king size beds, we were not left with much space to move around in or to leave the luggage, although this is a common problem in these hotels. The views were pretty unattractive (the roof of a garage), but the wireless internet was free and worked relatively quickly. The desk staff was very accommodating at all times and helped us in everything they could, giving us directions to main attractions. It is not totally renovated downtown place and, of course, is not located in the most charming part of the city, but its location is satisfactory for travellers and those here for business. Recommended.
