Near Crozon Peninsula and the western tip of Brittany, Douarnenez is wrapped in mist every morning, as it is right on the seaside. This city is open to the sea via four bays and four ports, which makes it a true oasis for lovers of port life. The atmosphere of each spring is unique. Filled with crêperies, cafes and terraces, hidden alleys and houses craft workshops fishermen. Walking along gives you and idea of the hustle and bustle. If you like boats, you have a great opportunity to see the Port-Museum (next to Port Rhu), one of the oldest sites in the city. We led ourselves to a village called Plomarch where you can overlook the bay among the pines.

It looks like a postcard, and many painters have come because of the beautiful landscape. The walk takes us by Roman ruins and, ultimately, to Ris Beach. In Douarnenez is one of the most traditional Breton pastry: the kouign-amann. This treat is a recipe from the late nineteenth century. You can find it in stores that display the poster "real Kouign-amann of Douarnenez". In life you will have proved the more delicious than the kouign-amann. Be sure to go enjoy it!
