Dos Mosquises Biological Marine Station

Recovery Center for turtles in Los Roques. South of the Cayo de Agua is the small island of Two Mosquises, where there is a recovery center for interesting marine life. You can visit the site where offspring are bred and cared for, hawksbill and green turtles, to repopulate the waters of Los Roques. These turtles were plentiful many years ago, but now over-exploitation has led them towards the brink of extinction, it is assumed by many that turtle soup is very tasty, if you know what I mean.
