West Coast good-vibes

Dolores Park (or DoLo, as some neighborhood kids call it) is the quintessential West Coast good-vibe place. And, it's off the typical tourist map. When the sun comes out, it fills up with young people hanging out, playing music, grilling, getting stoned, and playing with all manner of frisbees, juggling sticks, etc. Its a good plan for the afternoon, grab some beers, a few buddies, and go lounge in the sun like the locals.

Definitely one of the best places to go on a sunny weekend, when it gets really packed. Btw, you will find people selling weed in all kinds of formats!

Excellent views of downtown

Hilly Dolores Park offers excellent views of downtown San Francisco and is directly accessible from the J-Church St. MUNI line unlike Bernal Heights or Goat Hill. The flatter, north side off the park trends to be more boisterous with loud music and sightings of the famous dancing robot. The hillier south side is a great place for picnics and people watching.
