El Guisante Verde Project
Truly fantastic jazz
This visit was inspired in part by Antonio Muñoz Molina's book, "Winter in Lisbon". This novel takes placein Dizzy's Club on Columbus Circle in New York, where we later heard some truly fantastic jazz. We had the chance to listen to Lee Konitz, accompanied by Peter Bernstein, Ray Drummond and Matt Wilson, among others, as we enjoyed a "Dizzy's Cosmopolitan" with vanilla rum in the dimly lit room, with the skyscrapers as a backdrop.
