The architecture is striking
Just like the Amber Fort and the Red Fort, which is also called Delih, the Red Fort of Agra is a building called Diwan-i-Am, which translated means "Hall of Public Audience". In this building, assemblies or public ceremonies were held. The hall is surrounded by gardens, although they are not particularly well maintained. The architecture is striking, quite different from the other buildings of the Fort. The room is huge, with the flat roof that is supported by numerous arches and wide columns. All the lobed arches of made of red sandstone and they are covered with stucco. On the back wall, about two meters high, there is a kind of seat, where the Emperor used to sit during ceremonies.
